My Info

I'm Lee Perry, mostly solo developer of JetSuit (4 years!). Currently I'm a Design Director at Epic Games, although I created JetSuit over the solo years before coming back to the studio recently.

My previous projects include Gears of War 1-3, Fortnite, UT, and more. Prior to Epic, I was a technical artist at Squaresoft during the FF7 years. I was also an Art Director and Lead Level Designer at ION Storm Dallas. I have also shipped several mobile projects (all worldwide features in the Apple app store) as founder of BitMonster games.

Also got some coding polish help during the last from my friend Vineet Nalawade, who helped me get this puppy onto your headset (with such ambitious goals as post processing!)

My good friend, the Mightiest of the Mighty, Chris "Ogre" Gronlund also stepped in and helped pad out some of the writing, and we had a lot of fun with that! Cheers, Ogre!

Lastly, Victor Santos is a lovely artist I contracted to take my rough Ace bunny model, and he knocked that guy out of the park. He's available for work, and on Art Station for those who want to look him up.

What I'm working on

HIRING UNITY VR PROGRAMMER

General Info

I have been working on JetSuit solo for the last 3 years, including art, code, sounds, design, etc... but as this project draws to a close, I'm interested in working with a coder who isn't intimidated by the final stages of production. In short, I need a partner to help me ship this puppy.

Specifically, I'm looking to hire a programmer with experience shipping a VR project, in Unity, in C#, for the Quest 2 and Quest 3 platform. Ideally you will have done something of that nature in the past.

Optimization and performance is really a large part of the requirements for the project, so knowledge in that area is particularly important.

(This is fully remote work)

Requirements

* Unity Experience - Using C#, ability to implement a few simple features, such as leaderboards, as well as actually shipping a project (handholding through certification, working with store assets, etc).

* Optimization Knowledge - with standalone VR devices being such challenging technical targets, having prior experience with the Unity engine on Quest, Quest 2, or Quest 3 platforms is critical.

* Initiative - the ability to take components of the game and "own them" through to shipping the project (as well as ideally not needing a great deal of micro management).

To Apply

If interested, shoot me an email at LeePerryYo (at) Gmail, and let's see if we can make it happen.

Thanks!

Lee Perry
